Matchs amicaux des Lions : Après le Brésil, la FSF démarche les États-Unis et une sélection africaine
With just a few months to go before a crucial double event – the African Cup of Nations (CAN-2025) and the 2026 World Cup – the Senegal Lions' preparation match schedule is beginning to take shape.
Already confirmed, the friendly clash against Brazil will take place during the international break in November 2025. A match that will allow the Lions to have some high-level confrontations. But it won't be the only major test on the schedule.
On the sidelines of the Lions' victory against Mauritania yesterday, Abdoulaye Fall, the president of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), revealed that advanced discussions are underway with the American federation to organize a friendly match against the United States, one of the host countries of the 2026 World Cup.
"We are in discussions for a friendly match against the United States. This is part of our preparation for the World Cup. The match against Brazil has already been scheduled, and we would also like to face an African team here in Diamniadio before the CAN," said the Senegalese manager in the mixed zone. This was an opportunity for Senegalese supporters to share one last moment with their national team before leaving for the Moroccan CAN.
